The Sikad-Lakad-Takbo, also known as SILAKBO, is a fund raising activity for the Save Silang-Santa Rosa River Foundation, Inc. (S3R2), a non-profit organization and partner of the City Government of Santa Rosa in the protection and rehabilitation of the Sta. Rosa Watershed. With an area of 11, 500 hectares, the Sta. Rosa Watershed is the major source of water for the cities of Santa Rosa, Biñan and Cabuyao and the municipality of Silang in Cavite.

SILAKBO aims to promote environmental responsiveness among the various stakeholders. It calls for the commitment and continuous actions to address various environmental issues primarily climate change. No time to be wasted, creative efforts has to be done, and adaptation and mitigation actions ought to be prioritized.

SILAKBO was first launched on April 19, 2009 during the week-long Earth Day Celebration of the City Government of Santa Rosa through the initiative of the City Environment and Natural Resources Office (City ENRO) in partnership with the City Information Office (CIO). An increasing number of environmental advocates from different companies, government offices, people’s organizations, schools and barangays are joining this worthy event since then.
